Amy Buckley is a visual artist who works with photography, video and performance. Evident in her work is a deep rooted appreciation of the body developed during childhood dance classes and hikes in the rainy hills of Northern England. After studying fashion in the UK she completed a Photography degree at Parsons where she discovered her love of C19th century studio portraits.
Her work has been shown at The Whitworth Museum (Manchester), MILK, The Cooper Union, The Royal Northern College of Music, LIPA (Liverpool), Chisenhale Dance Space (London), Leeds Beckett University Performance Symposium and FOKUS at Nikolaj Kunsthal (Copenhagen).
Her artistic practice is also supported by an ongoing collaboration with her twin sister, Hannah, who is dancer and performer based in Leeds, UK.
